Welcome!

I've been Vicar here at Gosforth St. Nicholas for over nine years and I can honestly say that I love every minute of it  ...well, almost every minute, and even the difficult times can be very rewarding!

What makes this a great church? For me its because we are a team. All sorts and sizes of people worship here. We don't always agree but we (nearly) always get on. We're not perfect - we simply do our best together to follow Jesus and to live his Way. That's why daily worship is so important for us because in worship and prayer we are helped to live Christ's Way so as to love others.

The team here is not just those who have "official" jobs but all of us together - children, teens, elderly, single married, well off and not so well off, employed, unemployed, retired.

Recently a visitor commented that whenever she is with us she knows there'll be a lot of laughter. Well, sometimes there are tears too but either way we support one another and we try to reach out in Christ's love to our parish, our deanery and our diocese serving, loving and praying for all.
