Worship
Our Style of Worship:
- Our worship style uses a mix of contemporary and traditional
liturgies and music. We aim to offer the very best worship possible
to the glory of God.
- We celebrate the Festivals and Seasons of the Church Year with
style and enthusiasm and enjoy using ancient English traditions
of worship.
- We have three choirs (Antiphon, Baptistery and Junior) and our
choral tradition adds much to our worship

SUNDAY
- 7.15 Morning Prayer
- Every Sunday begins with Morning prayer (1662 version) prayed
quietly as another day dawns.
8.00 Holy Communion
- A quiet celebration of Holy Communion using the traditional
Prayer Book of 1662 with short address. The service lasts about
30 minutes.
10.00 Parish Eucharist
- A community celebration of Eucharist lasting about 70 minutes.
Young families with children are very welcome and many young families
with babies are part of our Church community. During term time
there is an excellent and well-attended Sunday school which starts
in the Hall and then joins us in church. This is worship for old
and young, all are valued and included. We use rich and varied
music styles and have plenty of hymns which we enjoy singing.
We aim to offer the very best worship we can and to make our Eucharist
a holy space for God. Afterwards there are refreshments in the
Hall-always coffee/juice, sometimes something stronger and a great
deal of chat and community support. Our large and growing Church
Community is welcoming and we have a good social programme.
First Sunday of every month:
- 11.40 Holy Communion, using the Book of Common Prayer, with
no sermon/hymns. Lasts about 25 minutes.
6.30 Evensong
- The traditional Evening Prayer of the Anglican Church. In term
time our Antiphon Choir frequently sings a fully choral service.
There are hymns, prayers and good music. Once a month we use a
more contemporary form of worship.
TUESDAY
- 7.30 pm Eucharist
- - a quiet, prayerful celebration using a contemporary worship
style, celebrated "in the round".
THURSDAY
- 10. 00 am Eucharist
- - a traditional Prayer Book Holy Communion Service with short
address. Afterwards we meet for coffee and chat.
HEALING EUCHARIST
Every month (normally the third Saturday at qo.30 a.m.) we celebrate
Eucharist especially for Healing; there is opportunity to receive
the laying on of hands and anointing.
FESTIVALS & HOLY DAYS
We celebrate all the major festivals with a Eucharist; often we
sing a fully choral, traditional Latin Mass setting using the 1662
Communion Service.
