Traditional Choral Eucharist,First Sunday in the month, 6.00 p.m..

    Starts: Sunday 4 September

A new venture based on ancient tradition.

We use the beautiful language of the Book of Common Prayer, together with choral music, hymns and incense to offer the best worship we can to the glory of Almighty God.

The readings are those appointed by the Prayer Book as from 1549. The sermon is contemporary - and short!

The ancient ceremonial actions of the sacred ministers and servers are symbolic of the worship of the whole Church across the ages.

The timing suits those who can’t manage earlier in the day ... and  for those who want to go on somewhere afterwards - Eucharist lasts about an hour.

The welcome and community is inclusive of all - and we have a glass of sherry afterwards!

The Sunday Eucharist raises our gaze to the outstretched arms of Jesus on the cross, the ultimate sign of God's love and celebrates Christ’s love given us in the Blessed Sacrament.

Come and experience “something ancient, something new” as we celebrate the timelessness of Eucharistic worship in ancient Catholic tradition within our  historic Anglican blend of dignity and homeliness.
